A Thanksgiving Trinitarian Prayer

|

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for creating me in your image, loving me despite my sin, providing for all my needs, and sending your beloved Son to save me from sin, death, hell, and the devil. I am grateful that you have chosen and predestined me to adoption, not for any merit of my own, but through the grace of your Son Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, thank you for humbling yourself to be born of a poor virgin, showing me a perfect example of how to live, suffering pain and rejection by your own people, and dying the excruciating death of the cross to fully pay for all my sins. I am grateful that you conquered death and now live above to pray for me and abide with me through your Spirit until the end of the age, when you will come again to receive me to yourself forever.

Blessed Holy Spirit, thank you for convicting me of my sin, drawing me to Christ, giving me the gift of faith, dwelling in my heart, and uniting me to the Son, so that I may be a participant in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places through him. I am grateful that you guide me, sanctify me, heal me, discipline me, and bear patiently with me when I grieve and disappoint you.

Holy and blessed Trinity, forgive the unthankfulness with which I have repaid your great goodness, and give me a heart that is sincerely grateful for all your gifts. May the whole course of my life be offered as an unceasing sacrifice of thanks, for you are worthy of eternal thanksgiving, in heaven and on earth, by men and by angels, here and in every nation, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
