Baptism and membership are not two separate things. Membership formalizes the relationship between the church and the baptized. Therefore, we issue one baptism/membership certificate. For those not previously baptized, the date of their baptism is the same as the date of their reception as members. For those previously baptized, we write in the date of their baptism (if they remember it).

- Certificate Paper (Blue) — We use blue for our baptism/membership certificates, red for our deacon ordination certificates, and gold for our elder ordination certificates.
- Certificate Holder (Blue) — We use folders for our membership certificates and frames for our ordination certificates.
- Seals: Bronze, Silver, Gold — The three dotted circles at the bottom of the certificate are placeholders for seals that are earned by completing classes (see our church’s Discipleship Plan for an explanation). This visually indicates to the new members that they are beginning a discipleship journey.
