A Preview of the New Methodist Catechism

|

Holy Joys is working to release a New Methodist Catechism. The book is divided into two parts. In Part I, there is a Catechism in Q&A format with key Scriptures, explanatory notes, and so on, divided into six chapters for use in a six-week baptism/church membership class. The material draws from historic Methodist sources like the 25 Methodist Articles of Religion. In Part II, there are about 200 pages of discipleship resources, such as Bible reading plans, outlines for daily devotions, and “next steps” for disciples at every stage of the spiritual journey.

I recently taught through an early draft (there’s still much to be done!) at the church where I pastor. To see how we’re approaching it, you can visit the Catechism page of our church website at Redeemer Wesleyan Church. You can listen to the lessons on the Holy Joys Podcast.
